If getting a bigger room isn’t an option for you, we have come up with 8 great tips to rejuvenate your room and give it a more spacious feel, helping you to relax, focus and take on the world!
1.Add Colourful Accessories
Bringing a pop of colour into your room through accessories will help add personality to the room and increase your motivation! Another benefit of coloured adding accessories is it allows you to change up the colour of your room without having to paint it again!
2.Scale down your furniture & headboard
Headboards complete the look of your bedroom, but they can be big and take up a lot of wall space. Consider downsizing your bedhead to keep the polished look without sacrificing the wall space above your bed that could be used for shelving. Consider only buying furniture you need, and smaller versions where possible, to give the illusion of a bigger room.
3. Keep it Light
Keeping your walls a light colour will help light bounce off them and create the illusion of space, PLUS there’s nothing better than laying in the afternoon sun! Pair with other light coloured accessories and furniture to create a seamless look throughout the whole room.
4. Mirrors
Mirrors, mirrors on all the walls! Ok, that might be a little over the top, but having a mirror in the room isn’t a bad idea, it will reflect the room and give the room a sense of extra space. It will also help carry light throughout your room.
5. Say goodbye to lamps!
Lamps take up a lot of space… consider modern solutions to brighten up your room… such as a simple roof light with a light switch, LED lights hanging on the wall or of you are feeling bold, give hanging lights a go!
6.Put the bed under the window
Wall space is precious in small spaces and beds are the biggest piece of furniture in your bedroom, put your bed under the window to free up your walls for storage solutions, and artworks that ad personality to the room.
7. Practice the art of illusion
Add a little magic into your room with floating furniture! A floating desk and shelves are super functional and will save so much floor space!
