STAGE 1
1. Meet Your New Home Consultant and get your iQuote
All great things in life start with a well thought out plan! We begin the Hudson Homes building process by discovering what’s most important to you: whether it be buying your first home or building your investment portfolio, an initial personal consultation with one of our professional New Home Consultants will provide you with all the information, research and knowledge you need to make an educated and well informed decision.
2. Tender Request and Preparation
Building a home can be a significant financial decision. And that’s why we recommend you meet with an accredited professional who can help you understand every aspect of the financial commitment you are about to make. If you haven’t already addressed this important aspect to buying a new home or investment, Hudson Homes has established a network of professionals across Australia that includes financial advisers, accountants and financiers who would be happy to help you tailor a financial solution that best suits your needs before you start on the exciting journey of selecting and personalising your home.
3. Tender Presentation
Once your New Home Consultant has an understanding of what’s most important to you, they can help you to source and secure the location of your new home. Hudson Homes has access to many exclusive lots in some of the best housing estates which makes finding that ideal block so much easier. Perhaps it’s the convenience of local transport links that’s most important to you, or it may simply be the need to invest in a high growth community that’s your number one priority. Either way, we’re there to assist. Of course, if you’ve already selected your parcel of land, just provide us with the details and we’ll take it from there.
4. Tender Acceptance
Now that you’ve chosen your land, it’s time to select the floor plan that best suits your needs, your budget and your specific parcel of land. Your New Home Consultant can show you a wonderful range of new home designs and can help you to decipher the ‘must-have’ features from the ‘nice-to-have’ features. Most importantly, they will work with you through the decision making process and recommend a range of floor plans that are in line with your specific requirements and that suit the size and contours of your land.
STAGE 2
5. Contract Signing
Hudson Homes are a proud member of the Housing Industry Association (HIA) and, as such, choose to use the HIA’s recognised Home Building Agreement. Once the Design and Colour selections have been finalised and signed off, your CRM will assemble the HIA Home Building Agreement and notify you when your Contract has either been Express posted or sent to you via Docusign ready for signing and return (if posted).
6. Personalisation
Many of our customers absolutely love this part of the home building journey as this is the step that turns a house into a home! Your CRM will organise a one-on-one meeting with a Design Consultant from our Hudson Homes Design and Drafting team. Your Design Consultant will present you with a real-life 3D walkthrough of your home and perform a formal design review of your plans. This means you can experience your new home before we even start construction! This is your opportunity to review your complete floorplan in detail with the person who is drawing it and make any final amendments on the spot, before contract signing.
Your CRM will book you in for a variety of appointments to customise your external and internal finishes. In our purpose-built Spectrum Design Studio, your personal Designer will guide you through the exciting process of customising your home and selecting each and every one of your inclusions. They will a good sounding board for you and will be sure to provide their expert opinion that may help you create the home that best reflects your personality.
7. Approvals
Building your home is what we do best here at Hudson Homes. Once we have received the necessary council approval and have received your authority to commence construction, we will begin the process of building your new home. Our home building process is organised through well-planned stages and your dedicated Client Relationship Manager will keep you up-to-date throughout the entire process. We truly believe that a well-informed client is a happy client and we understand and accept the responsibility that comes with delivering the most important home ever built. Yours.
STAGE 3
8. Building your new home
Everything we have done thus far along our home building journey has brought us to this very exciting point – the commencement of construction. Sit back and relax and know that we’ve got this part under control. Your Site Supervisor will welcome you onsite before construction commences so that you get the chance to meet and discuss the construction of your new home. We know you want to be kept informed with progress and this is when you can begin to monitor the progress of your new home build via the Customer Portal. Of course, you will also be given regular updates and communications from both your CRM and your Site Supervisor.
9. Pre-Handover
Your CRM will arrange a pre-handover walk through with your Site Supervisor approximately 2 weeks before your Handover. Prior to your scheduled walk through, Hudson Homes undertakes an extensive independent Quality Assurance Inspection to ensure your home will be presented to you at the highest standards. Your Site Supervisor will also have completed an extensive Pre-Handover Inspection Report that identifies any item that may require attention.
10. Moving In and Post-Handover
Congratulations! The construction of your new home is complete and your home is ready for you and your family to move in. Your Site Supervisor will arrange to meet you at your new home to hand you your new set of keys. Your new Hudson home comes with a 12 month Defect Liability Period which is looked after by our Service and Warranty Department, giving you peace of mind. Should any item covered by our warranty need repair or
replacement, our dedicated Home Services division will attend to it quickly and efficiently.
