A milestone has been reached for our Hudson Commercial team with the project – the ground floor Transfer Slab was poured last Saturday.

A Transfer Slab is a very significant slab as it locks in place the perimeter shoring, which enables all the temporary rock anchors through the piles to be de stressed and removed. It also acts to transfer the loads from rest of the structure above to the lower basement footings through the basement columns, hence its name “Transfer Slab”. This transfer slab contains 55 tons of steel reinforcing and 260m3 of concrete which equates to approximately 43 trucks.

The pour on Saturday went without a hitch thanks to the massive efforts of our trades people that put in a big effort. As a thanks to our trades for working so hard we threw them a BBQ.

The Mons Road Serviced Apartments are located in the heart of Westmead NSW and consist of 22 luxuriously appointed apartments over 4 floors along, with a 2-level underground car park.
