Progress continues at Monaco Apartments
Construction is well under way and running on schedule at Hudson Commercial’s Monaco Apartments.
The concrete slabs for the two basement levels all the way through to level five have been poured. This means that there is just the level six slab, being our final floor slab remaining, along with the concrete roof slab that will follow shortly thereafter.
As slabs are being poured, the AFS Logicwalls are also being erected to each internal floor level so that they can be filled with concrete at the same time. This means that as you see the building going up floor by floor, with all the concrete internal walls are also being completed. Once all the formwork is removed, all that will be left is for the internal wall linings for each apartment to be completed.
Car park ramps have also been completed, which has allowed high level services such as electrical, plumbing, water, sewer and stormwater to be installed and 100% completed in both the lower and upper basements. All that is left on these levels are switchboards and final cabling, which is scheduled for completion in September.
The team at Hudson Commercial are forecasting that the building structure will be completed in early August. Once the this is completed, window installation will begin. For the residential apartments, we’ve chosen high quality laminated glass for both the windows sliding doors, an upgraded feature that offers greater acoustic and thermal properties. These are currently being manufactured and are due to be delivered to site by mid-August with installation of all windows to be completed by the end of August 2018.
